Preserve Singapore's Muslim Heritage
Join a community of volunteers documenting Muslim graves at Pusara Aman and Pusara Abadi. Help families find their loved ones and build a more complete grave database for future generations.
Why We Need Volunteers
The locations are mapped
Kubur Search already helps families search many Singapore Muslim grave records by cemetery, block, and plot.
Names still need work
The next step is adding more names and dates of passing, so families can search even when they do not know the block or plot.
Volunteers speed this up
Our review system uses image recognition to prepare grave details. Volunteers check them against the photos, helping us extend coverage with less typing.
Every grave photographed and every record reviewed brings Kubur Search closer to a more complete database of Singapore's Muslim graves. This is kerja amal: community-driven volunteer work that helps families today and preserves records for the future.

View Block GuideVolunteer as a Photographer
Choose a block and help photograph readable nameslabs and signboards. No experience needed.
Field Photographer
Visit Pusara Aman or Pusara Abadi and photograph ONLY readable nameslabs or signboards, grouped by block. Do not photograph nisan as a reference; they lack the required details. Skip unreadable markers and graves without a nameslab or signboard, and move on. Keep the intended nameslab or signboard in focus and filling most of the frame; avoid neighbouring markers in the picture so image recognition does not mix up grave details. Keep phone location enabled to preserve capture metadata. Block and plot identify the grave; photo GPS does not replace its existing mapped location.
- Visit the cemetery at your own pace
- Just a smartphone with GPS — no special equipment
- Flexible timing — volunteer when you can
- Help preserve grave records for future generations
How Your Help Makes a Difference
Faster Expansion
We have developed a photo review system that combines image recognition with careful human checking. Photographers help us cover more graves, while admins handle checks and exceptions.
More Complete Records
Verified names and dates of passing fill gaps in existing mapped grave records. Existing names and mapped GPS locations are preserved; conflicting information goes to an admin.
Better Search Results
With complete records — names, dates of passing, and exact locations — families can search for their loved ones and find detailed, accurate information instantly.
More Accurate Estimator
With better grave data, our grave location estimator can guide families toward the most likely blocks when they only know an approximate date of passing.
Preserving Heritage
Muslim graves in Singapore are periodically exhumed. Documenting them now — with names and dates of passing — preserves the records for future generations before they're lost.
Community Benefit
Every record you help create benefits a family somewhere in Singapore. You're helping people find their loved ones, perform ziarah, and maintain family connections to their heritage.
Kerja Amal, Powered by Community Spirit
This is volunteer work (kerja amal), not a paid position. We're powered by community spirit and the desire to preserve Singapore's Muslim heritage for future generations.
Join a growing team of volunteers who care about keeping these records alive. Every contribution, big or small, makes a difference for a family somewhere in Singapore.
